About Us
The Integrated Regional Employability and Skills (IRES) Programme is one of five themes within the Edinburgh & South East Scotland City Region Deal, bringing together partners across the region to align skills with industry demand, create clear pathways into good jobs, and help employers secure the talent they need.
The programme is delivered through a network of regional partners, including local authorities, colleges, universities, national agencies, employers and the third sector.
Since its launch, IRES has delivered significant impact across the region, exceeding headline targets and supporting thousands of people to improve their skills and access new opportunities.
Behind the programme is a dedicated team working with partners across the region to coordinate activity, share insight and drive lasting change.
The next phase of IRES will build on this success to strengthen pathways into higher-skilled, better-paid work.
